Famous fashion photographer Terry Richardson, who has photographed many pop icons from Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, Kanye West to President Obama, is being accused of being a sexual predator and acting sexually inappropriately during photo shoots. A woman by the name of Alice Ehrenfried is not a fan of his artistry and has posed a petition to urge big fashion brands such as H&M and Vogue to stop hiring Terry Richardson.

Richardson’s camp has yet to comment on the allegations, but on previous occasions has denied to acting inappropriately with models. Although, there are models who refuse to work with the photographer and some who have spoken out against him, such as Jaime Peck who claims that Richardson got naked during the shoot and insisted on being called “Uncle Terry.” With these allegations, it has not stopped Terry’s checks from coming; he recently worked with Madonna, Lena Dunham, and Miley Cyrus as the director of her ‘Wrecking Ball’ video.

Even though the petition is aiming for 50,000 signatures and currently has 5,000, it is unclear to determine whether or not this will tarnish Terry Richardson’s brand. When it comes to the fashion industry, it is a small world with even fewer house-hold name photographers and yes Terry being one of them. In addition, like art, fashion does not wince at a scandal. Therefore, it is hard to say whether or not the fashion brands will stop using him. Obviously, the only way he would be truly hurt business wise, is if the fashion world stopped using him and the checks stopped coming.
