The Tradition of Tom the Turkey Continues

You know it is officially the holiday season when you see Tom the Turkey, the first float of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, gliding through mid-town of New York City.

For 87 years, millions of people line up the streets of New York to watch the infamous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year is shall be no different. The parade is expected to have 3.5 million spectators waiting to see their favorite balloon, 50 million television viewers counting down to see their favorite float and 8,000 participants in the parade.

If you think that’s big, check out the star power of the parade’s line up. Matt Lauer and Al Roker are hosting this years’s event. Then to join the festivities are the cast of Seasame Street, Kelli Pickler, Fall Out Boy, Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri, Jimmy Falon, The Roots, Richard Simmons and it wouldn’t be a parade without the family from Duck Dynasty.
