Hello From The Windy City

So I just returned from a work trip in Chicago. But, I know you didn’t think I left without having some fun! Working in New York, I often take for granted all the sites that people travel thousands of miles to see. So, being in a new city I took full advantage of being a tourist.

I drove my boyfriend crazy about going to Millennium Park and seeing the Big Bean. I’m not sure where this obsession came from, but I had to see it. Although, I came for one thing, I got so much more. The park was full of beautiful sculptures and exquisite greenery. It was easy to walk miles in the park and not realize it.

The weather in Chicago was just as bipolar as the weather in New York. One day in the park I needed my leather jacket and the next day it was nice enough for me to throw on my favorite denim jumpsuit to take a stroll along Lake Michigan. I’m not going to lie, I was expecting it to be like the Hudson River, but it was the total opposite. The lake was crystal blue and calming. It was so hard for me to not jump right into it.

Then after the tourists stuff, I called some friends I went to school with to show me the night life. I was too busy having fun to take pictures, but if you follow me on Snapchat (PrettyPeets), then you know I had a good time and let me use this moment to apologize for the bad lip synching. Hubbard Street was full of basically all your favorite bars in New York. Plus, people in Chicago really like Biggie, which made me feel right at home.

What is your favorite part of Chi-town?
