Let’s Get Nude

About two months among a friend of mine text me, asking if I was comfortable going nude. I didn’t second guess it, because this friend of mine is Jackie Moran, an amazing Creative Director and it would be for a good cause, inclusivity.

Nude Against Nude is a creative project that confronts brands who treat ‘nude’ as a color that matches only white skin, neglecting people of color. I had the opportunity to join a group of models to show how common products such as makeup, shoes, Band-Aids, and underwear are only made for one group of people. The photo series challenges brands directly by showcasing the contrast between “nude” and the vast range of skin tones.

If Fenty Beauty has showed us anything is that there is a need for more options for women of color. We often discuss the lack of color in the beauty aisles and end up feeling frustrated. That’s exactly why I had to be a part of Nude Against Nude. It was a therapeutic way to call brands out on their shit!
